A rotating flywheel can be used to store energy. If it is required to store 1.00 X 106 J of energy when rotating at 400 rad/s, what is the moment of inertia of the wheel in kgm2?

Rotational KE = 1/2I?^2

10^6 J / (400^2) = 1/2I = 6.25

6.25 x 2 = Inertia = 12.5 kg-m^2
