(Vf)² = (Vi)² + 2×a×d
where
Vf = final velocity = 35.5 m/s
Vi = initial velocity = 21.9
a = acceleration = ?
d = distance = 13.3 m - 6.5 m = 6.8 m
so
35.5² = 21.9² + 2×a×6.8
a = (35.5² - 21.9²) / (2 × 6.8)
a = 57.4 m/s²
