To make a 2-fold dilution of 10ul of media, what amt of solvent would you use and how would you do this?

I just had this as an MCAT question Wink Face

To perform a dilution you can always use the equation: (Volume of solute)/(vol of solute+vol of solvent)

So, you just add ten microliters. (10)/(10+10)=1/2 or 1 to 2 dilution.
