It must use a system of equations.
The problem is there are 50 questions on a test. Each correct answer is 2 points and 1/2 a point is taken off for an incorrect answer. If Fran received a score of 85 and answered all questions, how many correct answers did she have?

If u assume that the answers can't be left blank then Fran got 44 questions right that means she got
an equation for this is 2X-(1/2(50-X))=85  and 44 fits into this solution
