All seeds have an embryo with a radicle , plumule and cotyledon or cotyledons and the process of germination is similar in small plants and trees .

In the picture below you will see a mango fruit , the hard core or pit and the seed in side the core or pit  = click on the link to see=

In the picture below you can see white radicle ( for root ) projecting out of the seed that is still in side the core or pit .

Finally the plumule emerges out and forms the seedling .
