I was doing gel electrophoresis and I made 2 mistakes!

1.) I got a few drops of Ethidium Bromide on my hands

2.) I reached my hand under the UV light to adjustthe position of the gel.  My hand was under there for about 10-15 seconds

Oh, it's a mutagen. It can cause frameshift mutations in the DNA during mitosis and is super toxic to the liver Slight Smile.

Absolutely. I assumed you washed it off? Humans are designed to with stand topical exposure to chemicals like that. Wink Face Worry not Polymorphism.
