I want to attend medical school, and I was hoping to earn my bachelor's in Biochemical Engineering. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this degree?

The biggest advantage will be the preparation.  Engineering school forces you to develop very good study/HW habits, and this will carry on to the rigors of med school.  A biochemical engineering program should provide you with all or most of the premed you need, but you may end up needing an extra course or two along the way.
