What advice would you offer a fellow college student about to start a business?

•   Identify and take advantage of the resources available on campus—from entrepreneurial courses, to entrepreneurial activities including business plan competitions.
•   Look for opportunities to conduct an information interview and possibly “shadow” entrepreneurs to learn more about them and their business.
•   Find a mentor through the school’s program or in the business community.
•   Contact the local SCORE office through the Small Business Administration office and other organizations in the areas that support entrepreneurial activities.
