I'm doing a physics lab where I have to calculate the kinetic energy in joules. I have the momentum in kgm/s, the velocity in cm/s and the mass in kg to work with.

kinetic energy=square of momentum/(2xmass)

from momentum u can find the mass...momentum=mass x velocity


and dont forget to change velocity into m/s

If you have the mass and velocity both, just plug it into the formula for Kinetic energy

KE=1/2mv^2,

If you only have momentum and velocity, use the momentum equation

P=mv to calculate mass, and then plug into the KE formula
