A solenoid and a resistor are connected in series to a 10V power supply and the switch turned on. At a
particular time later, the voltage across the resistor is 5 V. A tenth of a second later, the voltage across
the resistor is 5.20 V. Determine the inductance of the solenoid.
What is the sum of the voltage across the resistor and the voltage across the solenoid?

Ideally, the sum of all the voltage across all loads should equal the voltage source.  Therefore, V(resistor) + V(solenoid) = ~10V
