Describe in 3 sentences how endospore formation is controlled by a regulatory system in prokaryotic cells.

What else am I missing??
- There is signal that is detected due to some environmental factor such a nutrient starvation. The mother cell will synthesize genes required to form endospore. since it's formed, the mother cell will die but the daughter cell will survive.

When a bacterium detects environmental conditions are becoming unfavourable, the mother cell will synthesize genes required to form endospore via a process called endosporulation. Since it's formed, the mother cell will die but the daughter cell will survive. They will germinate within a day or two with the right environmental conditions, and then the vegetative cells can be straightforwardly destroyed.
