1 -- Disasters are typically called multiple-casualty incidents if more than 2 but fewer than 100 people are injured. Natural disasters are caused by acts of nature or emerging diseases. Manmade disasters are either accidental or intentional. Mass casualties refer to incidents where more than 100 people are injured.
