ABC is an equilateral triangle. Forces 12N, 10N and 10N act along AB, BC and CA respectively. Find the magnitude and direction of the resultant force?

Note that if the three forces were of equal magnitude, then they would cancel.  So, frame the problem this way.  You have

A force of 10N + 2N in the direction AB
A force of 10N in the direction BC
A force of 10N in the direction CA.

The components of magnitude 10N cancel, leaving you with a force of magnitude 2N in the direction AB.
