Can you please explain to me how to do this?

How can I use transformations to find the vertical asymptote of a logarithmic function?

Please help! Thanks.

The vertical asymtote occurs where the variable whose logarithm you're taking approaches zero, for example:

log(x) has a vertical asymptote where x = 0
log(x-1) has a vertical asymptote where x - 1 = 0, i.e. x = 1
etc.
