Cleaners claim to remove moulds and/or mildew. What is the difference or are the words interchangable.

I work for a mold laboratory. There isn't a difference between mold and mildew. In fact they are both technically a fungus. Just like the mushrooms in your yard are a fungus.

To be honest though if you are just looking to kill mold in your house it is cheaper and just as effective to use one part bleach to 9 parts water and put it in a spray bottle.

You don't need to have any fancy cleaners unless you have the "black mold" and that actually isn't found that often.

Please feel free to email me if you have any futher questions.
