How does water get from your stomach to your sweat glands?  Are there a million little aqueducts in your body?

Or does water travel in the bloodstream somehow?

I never thought about this...!  I have no clue how water travels throughout the body.

Water is absorbed through the stomach lining into the blood stream. It then travels around the body until it gets to capillary beds located near your skin. The water leaves the leaky capillaries and enters the sweat gland by osmosis, and moves out onto the skin where it cools you by evaporation. This is the result of semi-/selectively-permeable membranes.
