If space has a hyperbolic geometry (open universe), what will happen to two initially parallel laser beams as they traverse billions of light years of space?
A)   They will gradually diverge (move apart).
B)   They will remain parallel.
C)   They will gradually diverge (move apart) to a maximum separation, then gradually approach and cross.
D)   They will gradually approach each other and eventually cross.
