The ejection fraction is the stroke volume divided by the end-diastolic volume and represents the fraction or percent of the diastolic volume that is ejected from the heart during systole. The normal ejection fraction ranges from 50% to 70%. Dividing 75 mL/beat by 120 mL equals 63%.
