Phospholipids, since they consist of hydrophilic polar heads and hydrophobic non-polar tails. Many ions/polar compounds cannot make it through the hydrophobic region unless they go through a carrier or channel protein. But, I doubt you care about that since you seem to be mooching of yahooanswers. Sadly, most of these can be found in your textbook. Stop being so lazy, Amy. LazyAmy.
