translation is the process by which proteins are made from RNA, so post-translations means anything that is done to the protein once it is created. an intron is a structure unique to mRNA and thus precedes the translation step.

cysteine bonding (called disulfide bonds), hydrogen bonding (a generally bond for protein folding), and glycolsylation of proteins are all things that can occur after a peptide has been created.
