Why does temperature have an effect on the permeability of cell membranes ? ?

I know that the higher the temperature that it increases the permeability of the membrane
but why does temp have that effect, is it because its a fluid structure type thing and the fluid expands??
What is the biological reasoning behind it ??

Please help me.. I'm desperate to understand !!! i have a lot of homework on it !
