Erica just received the "Salesperson of the Year" award for her outstanding work last year. Erica now feels motivated to beat these numbers next year. Is Erica responding to extrinsic or intrinsic motivators? How do you know?

Erica is responding to extrinsic motivators, which are things like pay, promotions, and verbal praise. Since Erica is responding to the praise she received via her award, it's obvious she's extrinsically motivated in this case.
