When choosing a facility location, the human factor is important. A company should take a look at how it will impact the living conditions of a community. It may ask, "Will we have a positive impact or a negative impact on this community?" It must be mindful of its impact on a community when making location choices. In the case of Apple, although there were no laws violated, Apple does have an ethical responsibility to do the right thing and it did work to improve the working and living conditions at its China plant.
