What is the molarity of a sodium chloride solution, if 13.03g of NaCl are dissolved in enough water to make 0.800 L of solution?

Please also clearly explain how to do it so I can learn how to do it myself.

Molarity = moles of solute / L of solution

The molar mass of NaCl is found by adding the atomic masses of Na (23.0) and Cl (35.5) = 58.5.

moles NaCl = 13.03 g NaCl x (1 mole NaCl / 58.5 g NaCl) = 0.223 moles NaCl

M NaCl = moles NaCl / L of solution = 0.223 / 0.800 = 0.279 M
