The mass of the crucible, lid and stirring rod was found to be 12.125g.  After the hydrated salt (H) was added to the crucible the mass of the system (crucible, lid, stirring rod and hydrated salt) was found to be 15.246g.  After heating, the mass of the system was found to be 13.650g.  Calculate the formula of the hydrated salt that was formed.  The molecular weight of the anhydrous salt (MgSO4) is 120.371 g/mol.

Calculate the percent by mass of anhydrous salt in the hydrated salt, then the percent by mass of water in the hydrated salt.

please explain your answer so I can understand how this is done.
