Regarding dissociation of ionic compounds, i've always thought the number of molecules in an ionic compound dissociate to give the charges.

For example:  AlCl3 dissociate to give Al3+ and Cl-

But i was doing a question finding the Ksp of Ca3(PO4)2

When it was [Ca]^3 x [PO4]^2.

which means that the Ca3(PO4)2 dissociated to 3Ca and (PO4)2

I'm confused please help
