Imagine being able to see in a different part of the electromagnetic spectrum other than visable. If you were using X-ray; what would it be like to see those waves? How would your perception of your world be different than it is now? Would there be advantages and/or disadvantages?

Do not confuse being able to see with that kind of vision (which is NOT what the question is ansking) with being able to see things giving off the electromagnetic radiation you've chosen. For example, being able to see in x-ray part of the electromagnetic spectrum doesn't mean you have x-ray vision.
