I need some good info about resistance and induction furnaces, details about design/construction, and method of operation, advantages and so on, I can't find any good info about them, if you can find good links, please write them.
I'm not looking to buy one, I'm just writing a report about them, so I need good details about how their design and how they work

Bethlehem Steel would be a great place to begin. Have you done any searches for steel manufacturers?
The furnace is going to be a combination of steel for support, and refractory clay of some kind to take the heat that is going to be generated. I know that there is a steel melting facility near Columbia, SC. The chamber of commerce there should know about it, or any of the steel distributors., Anyway, in the electric resistance furnace, Very large carbon rods are used to carry the high voltage, high current electricity into the furnace where it flows from the rods to the metal to be melted. The result is, high temperature, and melted steel, naturally.
The induction furnace does exactly what the name implies, it induces a high frequency radio wave into the metal to be heated, or melted. Eddy currents induced into the metal cause the heating, and the metal gets hot. Basically, that is how it is done. The Encyclopedia Britannica would also be a good source for information.
