What are the differences between the axon terminal and axon hillock?  I know that both are areas of neurons but what is the major difference.

The axon terminal is the end of the axon in which releases neurotransmitters. The axon hillock is the starting point of the axon in which is closest to the cell body (soma) in which initiates the Action Potential.
