This question is mainly for those who have a career as an environmental engineer. Do you spend most of your time at a desk with a computer, or is there some interaction with people?
Also, does your career mainly focus around waste management, or a variety of issues?
Overall, what is your career like with this profession?

I'm still in high school, just trying to find something that would interest me.

Well I'm not a Environmental Engineer as I'm in high school also, but I went to a job fair earlier this year and there was an Environmental Engineer there and he said he's involved with waste management, renewable energy resources (designing wind turbines, etc) and many other things mostly involved with renewable resources and such.
