what is the difference in the inheritance pattern between an autosomal dominant trait and a sex-linked dominant trait? Please help me answer this question

an autosomal dominant trait just acts as dominant trait, and masks a corresponding recessive trait. For example if B stands for the dominant gene for brown eyes, and b stands for the recessive gene for blue eyes, the offspring that has the genotype Bb, would have brown eyes.
a sex linked trait is a trait that is on one of the sex chromosomes. for example, if a certain trait was linked to the Y chromosome, it would only show up in males. This is because males have an XY sex chromosome pair, and females have an XX sex chromosome pair. Females dont have the Y chromosome, so the trait is not expressed. Because the X chromosome does not carry the trait, it can't be dominant and mask the trait. therefore it shows up in only males
