For example, you are given that the distance between a star and a planet is
r = 2.5 AU (Astronomical Unit)
Acceleration (a) = 7.88 AU/yr²

Then
ar² = 49.25 AU³/yr²

What is the significance of ar²? I know it's a constant but what exactly is it? And the real question: based on Newton's law of gravitation, why is ar² constant?
