Ok im trying to get my head around this; i have the question and the answer but i dont understand how it works.

Q: Quanta of green light have an energy of about 3.8x10^-19 J. What is the value of this energy when expressed in terms of electronvolts rather than joues?

Answer: 3.8x10^-19 J = 3.8x10^-19 x (1eV / 1.6x10^19) = 2.4eV
