A wave that is 8.2 m long end to end has a frequency of 3.7 Hz. Determine the wavelength of the wave and calculate the waves velocity.

Velocity = Wavelength x Frequency.

The 8.2 meters is a measure of the half-wave.  Therefore, the wavelength is 16.4 m long.

Velocity = 16.4 m x 3.7 s^(-1) = 60.68 m/s
