If you have a weak acid-strong base titration in which  the nicotinicacid, HC6H4NO2, is titrated with NaOH
Can you please help with just the chemical equation for this situation? what would it be?

HC6H4NO2 + NaOH <==> NaC6H4NO2 + H2O

 NaC6H4NO2 is a slightly basic salt.  The reaction is in equilibrium because the HC6H4NO2 doesnt fully ionize.  This is also a buffer as long as both HC6H4NO2 and NaC6H4NO2  are present.
