A projectile is fired at such an angle from the horizontal that the vertical component of its velocity is 49 m/s. The horizontal component of its velocity is 61 m/s. How long does the object remain in the air?
Thanks in advance! Also, since the path of a projectile is like a parabola (not including air resistance), why don't the properties of a parabola work? For example, you can't find time and value of maximum height using properties learned in math.

T = 2*(vy/g)
Flight time = 2*(49/9.8) = 10 s

Vx is constant during flight. Maximum height is
reached in 5 seconds--> same down.
