Volume of 6.0 M HCl used for dilution
If 8 ml of acid is added to 42ml water for a total of 50 ml, how do I figure the molarity of the diluted acid solution?

Use dilution law V1M1 = V2M2
V1 = 8ml ;M1 = 6 ;V2 = 50ml ;M2= ?
M2 = V1M1/V2
      = 8 x 6/50 = 0.96  M
