1.) fred a 39 year old father goes to his physician complaining of nausea and chronic fatigue. he has lost alot of weight, and his skin has a healthy tan even tho he is rarely outside. his doctor finds low blood pressure and a rapid, weak pulse. he does not have anemia, but his plasma glucose, cortisol and Na+ levels are low and his plasma K+ levels are high. what accounts for his low plasma Na+ and high plasma K+ levels??

B.) freds physician ordered some tests to determine the endocrine gland affected. he injects fred with synthetic ACTH and looks to see if his cortisol levels change. If freds cortisol levels do not increase, which of his glands is affected???

2.) For this set of blood values, explain the clients condition
    normal plasma values: pH: 7.35-7.45, pCO2: 35-45mmHg, pHCO3:22-26mEq/L
clients values: pH7.30, pCO2: 47mmhG, HCO3: 19.5mEq/L
