As a matter of curiosity, in olden days (Before computer softwares), the movie posters were purely created by expert art painters by hand?

Correct, but remember the printing press was first created in the 15th, so while pictures were illustrated, a lot of the text was printed via this mechanical device that didn't require a computer or software.

So, during those times (Before computers - Adobe illustrator), creative drawing sketches were designed by Artists & Painters on paper and then send to Printing press for n number of copies hard printouts?.
