THE ANSWER IS A. From the mid-1920s until the early 1950s it became clear to companies that it was no longer a seller's market. Production had increased in a greater degree than the demand for goods and services thanks to technological advances. Competition for customers was greater and companies had to launch persuasive advertising campaigns and use other aggressive sales tactics to sell their existing products. Improving the quality of their products was not of concern. Advertising and marketing strategies had to be strong, persuasive, and aggressive.
