THE ANSWER IS A. In order to get the product into the hands of customers it is often necessary to deliver that product through a distribution channel. When some goods go through various wholesalers before reaching the retail outlet where the customer will buy the product, the individuals who participate in that flow of the product are called middlemen or wholesalers. Grocery store goods are examples of products that will flow through wholesale outlets before reaching retail stores and that is where the term wholesaler comes from. Clerks and salespeople work in retail outlets. Ordering agents may work for wholesalers or retailers
