Directions: Use the given conditions to write and equation for each line in point slope and slope intercept form

Problem:
passing through (-2, 2)
parallel equation is---> 2x-3y-7=0

I had a bunch of other problems like this that I got right, but the equation was in point slope form, so it was easier. How do I come up with an answer when the equation looks like that?

I'm having a big brain fart.

use the straight line eq. its y=mx+b fill in the variables and find m and do it again plug in m and find b

simplify 2x-3y-7=0 put y by its self its easier to work with

Ok, so the first thing you wanna do is add 7 to both sides. The equation will look like this: 2x - 3y = 7. Next, you wanna subtract 2x from both sides, then the equation will look like this: - 3y = - 2x + 7. Next, divide everything by - 3. - 3y will just be y. - 2x will be 2/3, the negatives will cancel each other out. So then, 7 will turn into 7/3. The equation will ultimately look like this: y = 2/3x + 7/3. Now the equation is in slope-intercept form. I hope that you can do it from there, good luck.
