2)How do the terms transgenic organism, recombinant DNA and gene splicing relate to one another?

1) yes, mutations can be beneficial.  if your genetic code gets messed up, most likely it wont affect you, and if it does, it has a 50/50 shot of being something helpful.

3) has to do with the fact that a male will get one X from its mother and the Y from its father
