I don't understand how you identify/name nucleotides. My textbook says "Scientists often identify the nucleotides simply by referring to their bases: A, G, C, T (for DNA) and A, G, C, T (for RNA). But I don't get what that means... Doesn't each DNA nucleotide only have one nitrogen base?

If someone could please break this down for me, it would be greatly appreciated! Slight Smile

DNA has adenine, thymine,  guanine, & cytosine; & so does RNA. What bio_man said is correct.
