Let the shorter piece be x cm.
Length of the longer piece = (2x + 30) cm.
Total length = (x + 2x + 30) cm.
∴   x + 2x + 30 = 120
   3x = 90
    x = 30
The longer piece is 2(30) cm + 15 cm = 75 cm.
