Let the number of CD players produced by the first shift be x.
Number of CD players produced by the second shift =  x - 95.
Total production = x +  x - 95 = 1705
∴   x +  x - 95 = 1705
 x = 1800
x = 1000
Production by the second shift is  x(1000) - 95 = 705.
