How does Woolf incorporate the events of World War I into her novels?

  A) Her novels are usually a prelude to advocacy for veterans and others suffering the effects of the war.
  B) To The Lighthouse is an example of the impact of the war, as she follows families that interact before and after the war, noting the loss of life and changes in the characters themselves.
  C) Woolf realized quickly that the reminders of the devastation of war are everywhere and to ignore them in her novels would be absurd.
  D) Woolf often engages in soliloquies concerning the impact of the war.
  E) In her novels, she often incorporates elements of flashbacks for the men that participated, as an acknowledgement of what they fought for.
