Why did this religious division in Parliament cause a split?
 
  A) They were divided because only the House of Lords supported the theory of divine right.
  B) The houses were divided because the House of Lords supported the economic programs James was proposing, but the House of Commons did not.
  C) They were divided because only the House of Commons supported the theory of divine right.
  D) The house of commons was against popery and the House of Lords was unconcerned.
  E) The houses were divided on divine right and faith in James' ability to uphold Protestantism internationally.
