  B) The Catholic Church held that all seven sacraments were necessary as part of the path to salvation, but Luther believed only forgiveness of original sin was required.
  C) Luther believed that only two sacraments were necessary (baptism and Eucharist); the Catholic Church observed seven.
  D) Luther agreed with the Catholic Church that all seven sacraments should be adhered to for salvation.
  E) Luther believed sacraments were a justification for the use of priests.
