What would happen to those who conformed during the Inquisition and those who did not?

  A) Most that faced the grand inquisitor at Carcassone would be tortured into confessing and usually die from the torture. Therefore, confession was irrelevant.
  B) Conformists were stripped of all personal belongings and subjected to water torture; those who did not were executed after prolonged torture.
  C) Nothing happened to the conformist, while the non-conformists were tortured and killed.
  D) Those that conformed and repented would only lose their property; those who did not would face torture and the death penalty.
  E) Those that conformed would only face torture; those who did not would face torture and execution.
